New locations - "Food for Thought": Advice for a Happy Life - New location in historic downtown Norcross, beginning on Monday, May 5, 7pm. LOCATION CHANGE! Atlanta Intown "Food for Thought" is moving just up the street to JavaVino at 579 North Highland Avenue. Classes at our intown location will resume on Tuesday, May 6. Ongoing "Food for Thought" drop in classes in Sandy Springs at the World Peace Café.

Retreat in May - We will hold our first-ever retreat in northern Alabama: Establishing the Foundation - Stages of the Path Retreat, May 30 - June 1 at Joe Wheeler State Park.

Mindfulness - Meditation in Every Moment: A day course with Gen Mondrub on Sunday, April 20, 11am - 3pm. In this day course we will learn how we can transform all our daily experiences from being mundane causes of stress and struggle into causes of increasing inspiration, peace, and authentic happiness. Watching your mind and learning which states of mind cause pain and problems and which states cause peace and happiness is the foundation of most Buddhist traditions, and it's something everyone can do, no matter how busy their lives may be.

What Does it Mean to Be a Buddhist? - An Explanation of the Buddhist Path: A day course with Gen Mondrub on Sunday, May 4, 11am - 3pm. In this introductory course you can learn more about the Three Jewels - the foundation of the Buddhist way of life.

!!! Annual Fundraiser !!! - Join us at Anthony's Fine Dining in Buckhead for our annual fundraising dinner on Sunday, May 18, 6pm. Group sales are available, so buy a whole table and treat all your friends.

Plan Ahead... Events in June - June 8 - 14: Annual Refuge Retreat (drop in sessions each day at 7am, 11am, 4:30pm, and 7:30pm); June 21 - 23: Buddha Shakyamuni Empowerment Weekend; June 28: Mala Making Workshop at the Cafe.

We are part of the New Kadampa Tradition of Buddhism, a classic, living tradition which has been re-presented by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso specifically for the West. There are close to 1,000 Centers and branches of the New Kadampa Tradition throughout the world.
