Bringing Peace & Happiness to the Southeast

Birmingham Book Club

We all wish to be happy and healthy -- but how?

Both our experience of happiness and our well-being are closely related to our state of mind. Plan early this growing season and learn how you and your family can plant the seeds that will help you experience inner peace and well-being, reduce stress, boost our energy and improve our health. Join Gen Kelsang Mondrub, American Buddhist Monk, Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center GA for meditations classes Thursday evenings beginning February 23rd for 3 weeks ($10 a class) at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

February 23: Preparing the soil: what is meditation? How does meditation help us and how do we begin a sustainable spiritual garden?
March 1: Seeding: what is the mind? Where do our happiness and pain really come from? How do we choose the right seeds for our garden?
March 8: Watering: what is love? How does it solve all our problems and fulfill all our wishes? And how does it reliably produce a healthy, beautiful spiritual garden?
