Pensacola Classes

 

New Venue

Over the past several years the Pensacola Book Group has been growing and we are happy to announce that starting April 1st we will be moving into our own space, located in the historic Old Sacred Heart Hospital on 12th Avenue. All of our classes will now be held in rm. 221. In honor of this we will be having several special events the weekend of April 13th to celebrate this wonderful occasion.

Gen Kelsang Mondrub will be having a book talk sharing with everyone Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's most recent book Modern Buddhsim-The Path of Compassion and Wisdom. Available to everyone for free as a downloadable version it can be accessed from all eReaders. Come hear Gen Mondrub share with us Geshe Keslang Gyatso's wish for all of us to experience a deep peace of mind and the real meaning of human life.

Sunday April 15th- Buddha's Enlightenment Day

10:30 AM              Teaching led by Gen Kelsang Mondrub, "Living a Fully Engaged Life: Benefitting Others through Spiritual Community" Followed by the Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony

12:30-2:00 PM   Open House with Potluck Lunch- Invite your friends and family to come and visit the new location.  A wondeful time to meet and greet with everyone.

2:00 PM              Free Meditation led by Pensacola Branch teacher Dennis Reynolds

3:00 PM             Blessing Ceremony and Celebration of Buddha's Enlightenment Day with "Offering to the Spiritual Guide" Puja with Tsog.

An introductory class for individuals wanting an opportunity to work on their meditation practice and would like to learn more about the way to inner peace and happiness.

Fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm
