Bringing Peace & Happiness to the Southeast

Poncey Highlands - Food for Thought

Classes will be canceled December 20 and 27 and January 3. Classes resume January 10.

Food for Thought brings to your neighborhood a casual and relaxed approach to learning practical and inspiring methods for a happy life as taught by Buddha. These methods can solve our daily problems, help develop peace of mind in any circumstance, show how to keep a happy heart in all relationships - good or bad - and offer a special wisdom that can transform every experience into a rich, spiritual path. In the same way that Buddha taught each individual according to their personal inclination and capacity, Food for Thought is intended to reach out and offer something for everyone, at any level of interest.

Join American Buddhist monk and Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia, Gen Mondrub, and various other teachers for informal meditation, meaningful discussion and entertaining question and answer time. Maybe you can ask something you've always wanted to know about Buddhism but were afraid to go through the doors of a Buddhist Center to ask. Food for Thought is a light, clean and rewarding evening of fun. Most nights conclude with social time to meet like-minded people - with food for the body, too!

Drop in; each class is self-contained.

Teacher: Gen Kelsang Mondrub
Fee: $10 per class or $5 for students or seniors. No one is turned away due to lack of funds.
