"...because of our attachment to fulfilling our own wishes, we performed many different actions that harmed other living beings. As a result of these actions, we now experience many different problems and sufferings in our life."
- Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Solve Our Human Problems

Using Buddha's "Four Noble Truths" and Geshe Kelsang's book How to Solve Our Human Problems as a jumping-off point, Kelsang Shewang will examine addiction from a Buddhist perspective. Attendees will find that Buddha's practical advice for dealing with harmful desirous attachment also applies to harmful addictions. By following Buddha's advice, we will discover a step-by-step methodology for recovering from addictions that has stood the test of time for over 2,500 years. American Buddhist nun Kelsang Shewang has over twenty years experience in the fields of mental health and addictions.
