Advice for a Happy Life
How to Establish a Daily Meditation Practice

Date: Saturday, January 26
Times: 11:00 - 3:00 - see schedule
Course Fees: $25 full day; $40 with companion book
Please register in advance for this course.
Location: Rameshori Buddhist Center
(130 Allen Road)
Teacher: Gen Kelsang Mondrub

During the annual Lamrim meditation retreat, Gen Mondrub will set one Saturday aside to focus on helping beginners establish a daily meditation practice using The New Meditation Handbook. This day course is an excellent introduction to Lamrim, or the "Stages of the Path to Enlightenment" meditations. It is ideal both for beginner meditators who are looking for a place to start, as well as for veteran meditators who need a refresher or who want to learn how to meditate according to Kadampa tradition.

Gen Mondrub will be teaching from the book The New Meditation Handbook. Although it is not required, we recommend purchasing the book to use for establishing your daily practice. This day course will also introduce our new Saturday class, Stages of the Path Meditations, taught by Kelsang Shewang beginning February 9 at 10:30am.

Schedule

11:00am - 12:30pm: Meditation and Teaching
12:30pm - 2:00pm: Brunch at the World Peace Café (cost not included in day course; 10% lunch discount offered)
2:00pm - 3:00pm: Integrating Meditation and Practice for Daily Life
